Richard Tyler, Director of Performance & Possibility

Westend Star, Motivational Speaker, Facilitator, Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist… Richard has successfully combined two areas of expertise: The art of performance and behavioural psychology.

He originally trained at Guildford School of Acting in Musical Theatreand has performed in many lead roles in shows such as Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. Most recently he was invited to be a part of the 25th anniversary performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall.

In the last 12 months Richard has worked with leaders across the globe from organisations such as HSBC, BBC, JPMorgan, NHS, John Lewis Partnership, The Big Lottery Fund, Tesco and a wealth of other clients that have the urge in their belly to reach for the extraordinary!

Over the last decade he has trained in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Spiral Dynamics and Clinical Hypnotherapy. The unusual combination of these two specialisms has allowed Richard to develop a unique tool for impactful and insightful team, Leadership and Organisational development.

Richard is a member of the PSA and won the PSA Speaker Factor Award 2012.

Al Gurr

Al Gurr - Maestro ExtraordinaireThe coolest musician we have ever come across… Al has made a name for himself in a wide variety of different contexts, arranging and producing as well as playing piano and bass. His recent work with Hayley Westenra, Blake, Alfie Boe, Lorna Luft, and members of the CBSO on a series of Gershwinconcerts, testifies to his versatility.

He has broadcast live for Classic FM, Friday Night is Music Night and The Arts Programme, worked with Angela Rippon and David Jacobs on a tribute to Stephane Grappelli and appeared on This Morning and the Gloria Hunniford Show. He accompanied Alfie Boe at a private concert for Prince Charles at his home…. The list goes on!

When working with BTFI, Al supports the team building events by accompanying the singers. His experience, flexibility and insight guarantee valuable feedback for the team to get closer to excellence.

Sara Colman

As well as being an award winning jazz singer, Sara is a prolific songwriter and composer and has been commissioned to write for both choirs and smaller vocal ensembles, conducting her own works at venues such as Lichfield Cathedral for the Lichfield Festival and Birmingham Town Hall.

Sara’s recent album Ready was enthusiastically received and she regularly appears at clubs including Pizza Express Soho and the 606 Club. She has also performed at the Cheltenham and Manchester Jazz Festivals and in 2012 Sara was invited to showcase at the International conference Jazzahead in Germany.

Her longstanding collaboration with Jacqui Dankworth and Liane Carroll in vocal trio The Passion brought live radio appearances including BBC Radio’s Woman’s Hour, Jazz Line-Up and The Arts Programme and their album One Good Reason is an perfect example of vocal unity within harmony and improvisation.

Sara is a vocal tutor and coach in contemporary vocal styles and enjoys working with a wide range of students from pop stars to aspiring non-professionals!
